Found footage video which title, Pinochet Porno is borrowed from Ellen Cantor 2016 film. In the video, I attempt to look at the aestheticization and reproduction of war/dictatorship imagery and how that can be seen as pornographic. The song plays a big role in the montage because the lyrics talk about a period of repression accompanied by a techno rhythm. It acts as a critique on the over-medialized and stylized images of the pain associated with war and dictatorship.
